Working for Certeco has afforded me the opportunity to work in a variety roles, from PMO Implementation Manager to Project Manager. As a Senior Consultant my responsibilities as a line manager allow me to further develop my managerial and mentoring skills. Internally I have the opportunity to use my skills and knowledge to provide a positive contribution in helping to develop processes and strategies to shape the PPM Practice.
In addition to the business delivery focus, we do have some fun along the way, I rowed in the Great River Race in support of the Certeco Charity Challenge; this is just one of the many social events and opportunities we have.
Leading a PMO Implementation project within a Financial Institute in the Retail Sector can be challenging. The client has a department of 150 Project managers delivering IT infrastructure change and they required a Solution to provide standardised project management, reporting, governance and change and Management Information across the Team.
The role is varied and covers a multitude of stakeholders across several layers from Board Members to Project Managers consequently good communication is fundamental to good progress.
I am aiming to gather further experience in banking by working in the Investment or Commercial financial sectors, up to now I have predominantly worked within PMO roles and I’d like to gain more experience as a Project Manager. Certeco's customer base is growing and opportunities often come along.
