Certeco and Barclays Bank co-sponsored the IIBA event in Canary Wharf, London. The topics covered were  “Requirements Estimation” and “Creating Compelling Use Models”.

Ian Richards CBAP® (Fujitsu) Lead BA, shared best practice advice on requirements estimation. Two of the three critical success factors of a project (on time, within budget) rely heavily on accurate estimating, so why does the IT industry continually frustrate business sponsors by not delivering on its promises?

Alex Papworth - President of the IIBA, advised delegates on how to create compelling use models. In this presentation, Alex showed how to start building a use case model from any starting point. He showed the key steps to building a use case model from the foundations up with your stakeholders’ needs at the centre.

Over two hundred people attended and the meeting was seen as very successful by the delegates.
